Designing the onboarding experience for users with little technical experience.

It all begins with the design challenge of designing an onboarding experience for a digital calendar. Imagine that when seniors are using the default calendar on iOS and trying to connect with their families - we know that there is daunting complexity to set up a family account on the default calendar.

Problem Statement:

Olav Johansson is a loving grandfather and retiree who needs to be in sync with his family because he wants to know his family members’ interests and activities more, so they can spend more quality time together.

Needs: To connect with his family, to follow family members’ activities, and share his as well.

 Goals: To connect with family members digitally and effortlessly.

 Frustrations: How do I find my family’s activities on a digital calendar? It might take forever to complete all the forms and get everything set up.
